Ming Aralia
(Polyscias fruticosa)

"We put the "Oh!" in Flowers!"

Native to India and Malaysia the Ming Aralia has a distinctive far eastern flair. Its bonsai appearance provide a twisted sculpted look of a miniature old weathered tree.

This tree, planted in a 6" pot, loves a bright sunny location and prefers high humidity, the perfect gift for the plant lover.

Below we have provided you with some valuable care tips.

How to care for your Ming Aralia

LIGHT: Bright light (preferably near a south window).

TEMPERATURE: 68 to 85F. Can tolerate 48 without damage.

WATER: Water thoroughly, allowing water to stand in tray to help with humidity, but don't allow roots to continually stand in water. Allow soil to completely dry between waterings. Keep in mind that over watering is a common mistake that can permanently damage your plant.

HUMIDITY: High (60% or more) Your Italian terracotta will help maintain a proper humidity level by allowing evaporation to take place through the pores of the pot. It is also a good idea to keep water in the tray below the pot.

SAVING THE PLANTS FOR OUTSIDE: Your Ming Aralia can be placed outside in the summer in a well lit sunny location. Keep in mind that it may need to slowly adjust to the sunny location, so you may need to start out in a partly shady area and slowly adjust to fuller sun. Bring back inside in fall.

COMMON PROBLEMS: Spider mites: Wash with soapy water and apply miticide. Scale insects: Scrape or wipe off with cloth
