How to care for your Chinese Evergreen LIGHT:
Medium light (east, west or south windows). Keep
out of full sun.
TEMPERATURE: 65 to
85F. Can tolerate 55 without damage.
WATER: Water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry
completely before watering again. Keep in mind that over
watering is a common mistake that can permanently damage your
plant. HUMIDITY: Medium to high. 40%
or more.
FERTILIZATION: In the growing season, feed them every two
or three weeks with a water soluble or liquid fertilizer. In the
winter, cut back to once a month, half strength. COMMON
PROBLEMS: Be careful not to over water. The Chinese
Evergreen can
be susceptible to root rot if allowed to sit in water for long periods of
time. |
