Chinese Evergreen   (aglaonema)

...for the loyal and true believers

The Chinese Evergreen or aglaonema is a well deserved favorite indoor plant. Its full and low growing nature along with its interesting variegated deep green and silvery foliage makes this plant well suited for anyone's home.

The plant shown in a 12" terra-cotta pot is a superior tissue culture specimen, and is easy to care for being tolerant of many indoor conditions.

How to care for your Chinese Evergreen

LIGHT: Medium light (east, west or south windows). Keep out of full sun.

TEMPERATURE: 65 to 85F. Can tolerate 55 without damage.

WATER: Water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry completely before watering again. Keep in mind that over watering is a common mistake that can permanently damage your plant.

HUMIDITY: Medium to high. 40% or more.

FERTILIZATION: In the growing season, feed them every two or three weeks with a water soluble or liquid fertilizer. In the winter, cut back to once a month, half strength.

COMMON PROBLEMS: Be careful not to over water. The Chinese Evergreen can be susceptible to root rot if allowed to sit in water for long periods of time.
