Oberer's Flowers - one of the fastest-growing florists in Southwest Ohio with nearly $8 million in annual sales - has expanded into the Cincinnati market with daily deliveries from its Dayton headquarters.

The fourth-generation family-owned florist also plans to open a 12,000-square-foot distribution center in the Cincinnati area before October.

Oberer's is currently handling about two dozen deliveries a day to Cincinnati, the first step in the company's expansion plans outside Dayton, said Rob Spikol, a company spokesman.

Spikol said Oberer's prices are generally less than those of its competitors because the company deals with growers directly instead of buying from wholesalers and dealers.
